Ahh, Texarkana. While there is plenty to do around here, when I think about my ideal day there are a handful of places that stand out. Of course they include food, ice cream, bling and shopping. Really, can you blame a girl? For the best of Texarkana, according to moi, read on my friends …
TJ Maxx: There’s no doubt about it. I’m a Maxxinista. If it’s my day off, or my lunch hour, you can almost guarantee that I’ll be at TJ Maxx. It’s the perfect place to buy gifts, and hunt for the latest seasonal trends. Whatever I’m looking for, TJ Maxx always seems to have it. High five to the rest of the Maxxinista’s out there.
On The Border: AHHHHH Arribba Arribba! All I have to say is CHIPS and SALSA, one of my favorite combinations ever created. And, let’s not forget their awesome queso and fajitas. Yumm. Hands down, On The Border is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Texarkana, and beyond. If you’re ever headed that way, give me a call and I will meet you there.
Holiday Springs Water Park: I love this place for much more than the water slides. Did you know that they have DIPPIN’ DOTS!? I’ll admit it, I often visit the water park and head straight there. Once I have my space-aged ice cream in hand, I turn around and leave. No bathing suit. No water slides. Just Dippin’ Dots. Needless to say, I am hooked. My favorite flavor is Cookies N’ Cream…what’s yours?
My Family Home: Home is where the heart is. As much as I love to be out and about, my absolute favorite place to be is home, with my family. There’s just such a good feeling about pulling up to the house I grew up in and walking through the front door and hearing “Hey honey how was your day?” Plus, those home cooked meals are an added bonus!
Crocker’s Jewelers: When I started working at Crocker’s Jewelers, almost 3 years ago, I instantly felt like a part of the family. I’m happy to call Crocker’s my home away from home. I love my coworkers and our customers and couldn’t imagine not seeing them everyday!
And, now I’m craving Dippin’ Dots. Does anyone want to join me?
